Yvonne graduated from the University of Maryland Law School in 1987 and then practiced for two law firms and a Fortune 100 company. In 1997, she was selected from a national search committee to develop and implement a new business segment devoted to recruiting, placing, measuring and supporting the hiring and retention of women and minority lawyers in Fortune 500 companies and for their law firms.  While taking some time off from the profession in order to spend more time with her family and to earn an MBA, Yvonne developed a keen appreciation and sensitivity for the highly educated American worker who loves their work and values a balanced life. This passion was the catalyst that led her to return to legal staffing and found In House Only*, LLC.

In starting In-House Only* LLC, as a certified woman and minority owed enterprise, Yvonne decided to remain loyal to her niche of diversity based placement.  The methodology for finding attorney candidates in the general pool remained largely unchanged.  They are readily accessible through a number of open lists aided by the Internet.  Identifying ethnic minority candidates and other groups such as top-notch lawyers who only want temporary work is appreciably more difficult.

Having worked for some of the most successful companies in the world, Yvonne was impressed by the way some of them used their power to create real change.  For instance, Yvonne works for a cluster of companies that not only tie diversity staffing and retention to internal performance and compensation standards, but they also hold their outside law firms to the same standards as a condition of doing business.  See Custom Services.  It is the support of companies like these that inspire and sustain In House Only* LLC.
