Retained Search:
Our retained search service is our highest level of service and carries our highest level of commitment as it is also the highest level of commitment that the client gives to us. This is usually the choice of service when the client has a serious and express interest in diversity and in our finding candidates who are not as readily identifiable as in the general search pool.
We will assign one search consultant to map, design, and manage your search. That consultant will meet with you at the location(s) that you want staffed to meet the prospective direct report(s) the clients that the candidate will serve. The objective of this meeting is to accumulate all of the information that we need to more than satisfy our guarantee. The steps of that process are generally as follows:
- Client Meeting: In this meeting we will explore, assess, collect and discuss every piece of information that will enable us to conduct a successful search such as an assessment of your company or firm’s physical, technical and cultural environment; history and plan(s) for the future; existing department/section staffing, support and resources; job description, reporting and measurement system and expectations; a survey of your “best selling points”; the compensation package including bonus options, systems and benefits, promotion and advancement history and opportunities and more. Prior to this meeting we will agree upon the placement fee and collection schedule.
- Job Description Signoff: We will electronically and/or hardcopy deliver a written job description for approval and sign-off by the candidate’s direct report and designees.
- Delivery and Signoff of Search Plan: Your search consultant will electronically and/or hardcopy deliver a search plan that will include a call list from our initial database search, a contact list from the client of industries, companies even specific persons that you would like us to contact or explicitly not contact, our own suggested target lists for candidates and a beginning to end search plan with, if necessary, a detailed recruiting plan. The client will amend, if necessary, the search plan until approval, then sign-off on the plan and return it to the assigned search consultant.
- Candidate Preparation and Delivery: We will execute the search plan and present candidates with your opportunities. We will report our findings to you including general market conditions and specific responses from candidates.We will interview each candidate. Candidates who fit the profile will be short-listed.
- Short List Signoff: We will present you with a list of 3 candidates the search consultant has agreed to interview. If you are happy with the list, we move ahead to the next step. If not, we restart the process.
- Set up a time for interviews: We will work with you to set up interviews for all the candidates in succession.
- Negotiation of Offer: We will be in touch with the candidate through the end stages, and handle according to instruction, all reference checking, relocation logistics, and finally the negotiation and acceptance of the offer.
